The Tyler Firefighters are inviting the entire community to don their pink for the C.A.R.E. Golf Tournament on Oct. 31 at the Cascades Golf Club, 2611 Cascades Golf Club Drive, Tyler, TX.
The event will support the Tyler Fire Fighters C.A.R.E Fund, the Susan G. Komen and American Cancer Society.
Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with a putting contest at 10 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. lunch and a shot gun start at 12:30 p.m.
The cost is $100 per person, with prizes awarded for the First and Second place teams as well as closest to the hole and longest drive.  The hole-in-one prizes will include a 2012 GMC Terrain SLE sponsored by Hall GMC and a $25,000 cash prize sponsored by Allstate.
“This event is an opportunity for the golfing community to come out and honor those who have been affected by cancer in a fun and active environment,” said Tyler Mayor Barbara Bass, a breast cancer survivor. “It will be great fun for everyone; from the amateur to even the most experienced enthusiast.”
“We can’t wait to see how many people come out to support women with cancer,” said Tyler Fire Chief Tim Johnson.  “This event is important because it not only raises money for the fight, but also raises awareness.”
Range balls will be provided and no denim will be permitted on the course.
